Dear Petsmart,

Quit sending me coupons for my dog -- I don't have one. This is what I buy in your store: kitty litter, cat treats, Nature's Miracle.

No dog toys. No dog food. No leashes or collars.

Just feline accoutrement. I think the system that tracks spending in your store needs some tweaking.

And btw? If you could send some coupons for Arm & Hammer kitty litter? That would be AWESOME.

Thanks!
B

Dear Taylor Kitsch,

Holy god man. You look *amazing*. Keep on keeping on, I'll see John Carter soon, I promise. And Battleship. And that movie you made with Oliver Stone, can't wait to see you as a bad guy!

Rowr,
B

Dear Asshats I call friends:

Sometimes? You should do things I'm interested in, it's only fair. Especially considering all the shit I've done 'cause you wanted to.

That's [one of a million reasons] why [livejournal.com profile] moosesal is my best friend and you aren't, just saying.

Love,
B

Dear SouthLAnd,

Why is your season so short? JFC that's annoying.

Needing more,
B

Dear [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777,

When you come up for air I need you. You know where -- there's frottage but I'm stuck again. See you soon!

Love,
B

Dear Allergies,

Fuck off.

No love,
B

Dear fanfic writers,

Thank you *so* much for putting "not beta'd, don't be mean" in your notes. I instantly know that I don't want to read your fic. You've saved me the 15 seconds worth of reading it would have taken to discover that you don't care if you can't keep your tenses straight and don't know who's POV you're writing from.

Get a beta!
Cranky old fandom hag

Dear Flist and also Marvel:

It appears that I require Avengers recs. I've been reading what I can find on Pinboard, and holy hell the fic in that fandom is awesome at the moment. I especially loved the Suits/Avenger fic I read yesterday, it had me laughing out loud! Thor and your mama jokes are one hysterical combination.

Have you seen the latest Avengers trailer? For all that 99.999% of the comics I read are DC, your movie verses are unparalleled, I teared up in the trailer! It was that epic. Please, please, please, let the movie live up to my expectations.

In need of my very own Iron Man,
B

Dear DC,

With the exception of the brilliant re-launch of Wonder Woman I still don't like the new 52. Did you really have to get rid of my favorite character? Yes, I'm reading the new Huntress mini anyway, but that doesn't mean I like it. Helena Bertinelli is what brought me into comics, her stand in No Man's Land was my favorite moment in comics period. Please quit messing with things that aren't broken.

And while we're at it, shelving the Secret Six was the stupidest thing you've ever done.

I hate the Christian Bale Batman franchise too. I can't tell if it's because I can't stand Christopher Nolan's direction or that I'd like to punch Christian Bale in the face or if the movies would be shit regardless. Yes, I realize I'm the only person in the world that feels this way and as long as you keep raking in money hand over fist none of these things will change. I'm hoping Tom Hardy will change things up for me, but considering Bane is hispanic and Hardy is not ... RACE FAIL !!!

Which brings me to this, why do I continue to buy your comics when I feel this way? Perhaps it's time to cut the strings. Re-read my old BoP, NML, and Secret Six books and forget about the rest of your 'verse.

I really wouldn't miss being ignored/stared at/ogled at the comics store.

there's frottage but I'm stuck again.

Would totally be my new LJ title... if I didn't have my parents friended :D.

Do you read [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine? She had some Avengers recs, I think? And another friend did, too, but she just went friends only for other reasons, I'll see if they're easy to find.

You're not the only one on the Batman (I enjoyed them, but know Many who don't) - it seems like time for something new Anyway.

I do over on DW, she doesn't tag her entries, it's so frustrating!

I hate Christian Bale -- always have. I've never seen a movie directed by Chris Nolan I thought was good. Combine the two together with one of my favorite characters = failure on all fronts.

Yeah, Christian Bale is CREEPY. The only movie in which I really enjoyed him was the recent boxing one where he played a manic crack-head, because it was SO different from anything I'd ever seen before. But, yeah - I think we've talked before about how I Hated other Nolan movies (and now I can't even remember what they were, thanks be). So I can understand.

I saw that movie and I HATED IT TOO.

Way too much crying and whining and not nearly enough boxing.

Heh, yeah, it wasn't a terribly Good movie, perhaps partially because the Boxing wasn't that good - a bunch of us Y boxing-types saw it and weren't terribly impressed. But when I saw Bale all skinny and coked-out I realized he just made more Sense to me that way. D:?

Ha Ha!

I went with J from the Y, we nearly walked out of that movie because we thought we were in for boxing, not crack heads R us!

Re: 'Dear Taylor Kitsch' I took my son to the IMAX 3D version of 'John Carter' yesterday for his bday and it was AMAZING. Like seriously just wow. I hope when you do get a chance to watch it that you enjoy it as much as we both did. (Drew turned 9 yesterday & sat through the entire 2 1/2 hour movie w/o moving once...and that was without taking his Ritalin because Friday was a no school day. That's super impressive if you know my child.)

Yeah since seeing the movie I've read a lot of bad reviews about it myself, but none of them have tarnished my views on it. I think it was really good...I wanna go see it again in theaters.
