i don't remember much of her as she was largely absent for most of the show, as i recall. but having just reviewed her wikipedia entry, i'll say that while i don't quite agree that she's the WORST mother ever as i can think of far worse, she's certainly a candidate for cheerful killings. wretched human being.

i say omg of course because hello, parent. we have a THEME, here. :D

Bad parents, particularly bad mothers -- or overly-involved-living-their-life-through-you-mothers. Yes indeedy.

My feelings re: Daddy Winchester. Strict. Gruff. Obsessive. Proud. I don't buy the worst fanonized versions of him or the most loving fanonized versions of him. I think his obsessive nature led him to be both a worse and better parent than he otherwise would have been.

you know i love him to tiny pieces, but of course i believe he made a bunch of mistakes. your assessment of him is probably much more objective than i could manage, anyway. <3

I think if I cared about SPN anymore I'd have more definite opinions about Daddy. Frankly, I can't stand the show anymore. The only reason I watch it is to get my Jensen is SO HOT fix.

Other than VM there's never been a show the writer's ruined for me more than SPN.

imho it's worse for SPN, because at least VM had that one season of utter brilliance. like, there can't be any arguing that VM season 1 was pretty close to perfect. SPN on the other hand has always had SUCH PROMISE of INCREDIBLE AWESOME, and that they have been screwing the pooch so horrifically hard is just nauseating. ugh.

of course, the writers haven't ruined it half so much for me as the fandom, but that's the kind of thing i can only confess under a locked post in collapsed comments, lest i be seen to be criticizing fandom, which as everybody knows makes you hitler.
