I'm not going to talk about how disgusted I am with the whole Paige/Derek backstory [and that fucked up scene with Talia, WTFF?]. Many *many* people far smarter and more coherent than me have written billions of words about how WRONG it is and ITA with all of them for the record. My head canon from here on out is that it was Peter's story and I'm not going to talk about it anymore. ::hands over ears:: la la la

I do however, want to speculate on whether or not hunters know/understand the meaning behind different colored beta eyes. Because if they *do* then the early treatment of the Argents IRT Scott is even MORE appalling than originally thought.

Not to mention their hunting of Isaac, Boyd, and Erica all of whom clearly had yellow eyes and therefore should not have been hunted, not to mention that they are/were children...[another thing I'm not acknowledging or discussing is their murder]

OTOH -- if I buy Derek's backstory and believe that hunters *do* know the meaning of the different colored eyes, it puts a brand new, sickening spin on why Kate focused on Derek.

I genuinely believe that none of this was thought out, that everyone on staff sits and around throwing out the craziest ideas they can until someone says Ooh! Ooh! Pick that one! I hate the way they cannibalize their own canon to service whichever idea they are servicing that episode.

I hate the way they obviously think the story stops the second a character isn't on screen.

I really want Papa Argent, Mama McCall, and Daddy Stilinski to form the hottest milf/dilf threesome in the history of the world.
