Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato

Once again Victoria's secret has discontinued the only fucking bra in the world that fits me. Bio-fit bras now have a specially textured inner cup to make the bra stay in place. It feels disgusting against my skin.

Fie upon thee

ETAIf you have bra suggestions, here are my requirements. There are other far more well-endowed ladies in the comments who will take recommendations as well. Victoria's Secret has not just discontinued my preferred Bio-Fit but also the Incredible Line The problem with my size [36B] is manufacturer's assume I want enough padding to look a cup bigger AND that I want it pushed up to my nose. I don't want either of these things actually. I want a bra where: * the cup fits -- sounds simple but it's a problem for me, A's are all too small. A lot B's are too big, I nearly always have to buy a demi-cup to get the right fit for my breasts * the cup is *lined* so my nipples don't poke out * The straps are about 1/4 inch wide, any narrower and they cut into my skin, any wider and it's over-kill and shows under my v-neck t-shirts * under-wire * the elastic in the straps and band don't wear in 3 months. Maybe I need to write a letter to all bra makers every where.

I'm a 36DD and dear Lord do I hear you on the more variety than black and white! I've actually had good luck with eBay recently -- I bought a purple lace VS bra that fits great, but it's a pretty bra. Lilyette is another brand that works for me, they have the one t-shirt bra (and it's purple!) that I don't climb out of until the end of the day. The straps are also padded and super comfortable. I've never had luck finding a sports bra that actually supports me without bounce while I work out, how 'bout you?

For sports bras, I highly recommend going to www.titlenine.com. You can shop by cup size and support level. And they use real women to test the bras every year. I like Moving Comfort bras and have picked up a couple that hold me down. And the nice thing at T9 is they've got more than just the pull over styles. It might be easy to pull a bra down over As or Bs, but with DDs I find them really hard to get out of. So I like bras that have a clasp in the back.

Check out this one: http://www.titlenine.com/product/sports-bras-at-title-nine/shop-sports-bras-by-cup-size/dd-cup-bras/310125.do?sortby=ourPicks&page=2

And T9 is really easy with returns too.

Thanks, Sal! And I agree -- peeling off a DD bra after working out is unpleasant.

I'm the same size you are (36DD) and oh my GOD, finding comfortable, lined bras that aren't designed to put my cleavage up to my nose are a pain in the ass to find. As are great workout bras (although I did find an amazing one at Ross once, go figure - I can do jumping jacks in the damn thing, that's how awesome it is) that don't make me feel like I'm bouncing all over the place.

I'll definitely check out Lilyette.

This is the lined bra I bought from Lilyette: http://www.maidenform.com/bras/styles/all-bras/lilyette-custom-lift-full-support-bra-0812?cm_mmc=Shopping-_-0812-TLN-36DD-_-Lilyette-_-0812-TLN-36DD&srccode=cii_13736960&cpncode=30-28769750-2

That website has great prices, too. When I buy Lilyette from department stores, they run $30 to $40. They also have (hold your pearls!) comfortable minimizer bras. Yes! I know it's an oxymoron! But they work and they don't squish, so great for form-fitting blouses or the smalls I need for my arms, waist and back but can't wear for my boobs!

I, too, have found random "finds" at Ross, never to be repeated!
