I did a lot of talking to the tv as I watched the ep last night. For the record I was talking to my cat who was sound asleep, not paying attention, and totally didn't care. I said things like:

OMG Juice is totally throwing himself at Chibbs! Did you see that look on his face when he swaggered up to Chibs on his bike? And then that embrace? That wasn't an Opie and Jax back slapping embrace it was a, please Chibs I'm hurt and I need comfort *and* saving will you be my Daddy?

I may have a few issues.

Then I said something like

See how nice it is to go out in public and not be treated like a common criminal Jax? Don't you want that? Doesn't it feel good? Wouldn't be amazing for your sons to live a better life than you?

And then there was the whole Clay and the money and Gemma. That mother fucker is going down, and that *before* he beat the shit out of her at the end.

And Tara, holy hell Maggie Siff owned that entire episode. We saw her giddy with happines, up until now we'd only ever seen her content or satisfied, she was HAPPY. With her family and the boys and Jax. And then I screamed when her hand was smashed. I kept telling her if she lived through it she could still be a doctor maybe not a surgeon but a doctor for sure and then she lost it on Jax [ her not saying good night to Able destroyed me ] and JFC what a moment.

Opie and Jax and getting out. Jax delaying him going to see Piney. I really can't wait for the fall out of Piney's murder. Surely, surely, surely Gemma's gonna let it out.

They've been emphasizing how she's not a member of the club and that's she *just* an old lady for two seasons now. Jax has said it multiple times. Clay has said it multiple times. And she's not a member. She is *just* an old lady, but to put it in Unser's words

"Gemma left here at sixteen alone. She came back [i don't remember how many years later] with a husband, two sons, and a motorcycle club"

Gemma birthed that club as much as any of the First 9. Now that Clay's killed off 3? 4? of the first 9 and only the sons remain?

I don't think it was specifically Jax she meant at the end when she told Unser that the son would have his revenge. I think she meant the entire club. The Son of Anarchy is the one that's going to reap what Clay has sewn.

I'm super proud of the new Sheriff owning up to his mistake to Juice. I really, really, really hope there's something the two of them have cooked up together that's going to make the ASA pay

I swear to god, between the intensity of Sons of Anarchy and pacing of The Vampire Dairies I may not make to the end of this season.

BTW: FX ordered 1 additional episode for this season.
