turnonmyheels: (Good Wife: Eli)

OMG You Guys! When Diane was in Legal Aid looking guilty and depressed and so completely "100% Liberal Guilt, I'm so privileged and I NEED TO GIVE BACK" I started chanting, "do it Diane, Do it Diane, Do It Diane!"

AND SHE DID.

And Will agreed. He wasn't playing her. THEY'RE GOING TO DO IT. All the hearts in the entire world to this move. I think it's absolutely PERFECT. I hope Eli's head explodes. I hope Kalinda spends more time working with Legal Aid than she does anyone else. [not at all likely since Kalinda follows the $. and also Will. I need to see some back story on this whole Kalinda and Will thing]

I've always been a bit iffy on Will. He's always been a shade too slick and seemingly without a conscience. I love how his character has grown since he and Alicia got together. I love how it doesn't appear that he's changing *for* Alicia. The story plays [to me] as a man who has taken a step back and looked at his life and didn't really love what he saw. So he's making changes in his life so he can be the man he always wanted to be.

I also love that Alicia says it isn't love. Alicia loves him without a doubt but she's in the Same Place in her life that Will is in his. She's not who she wanted to be. And she wants to be that person so very badly she's going to step out and do what it takes to make it happen.

Diane is re-evaluating her life too. She has been since they brought in and then ousted the new partner. She wants a judgeship. She wants to be bigger in the Democratic scene. She wants to live up to her family legacy. She knows now the only way to live up to it is to stop counting pennies and *work* to help her fellow man. Her line to Alicia, "I didn't do enough to help." as to why she didn't show for the client/family meet up was so telling. I LOVE DIANE LOCKHART SO MUCH.

If Diane and Will bring in Legal Aid they're going to have to allow Eli more room to do what he wants. Eli wants Alicia and Kalinda. I can't see Alicia or Kalinda allowing this, but it's going to be so much fun to watch the push and pull.

in conclusion I LOVE THIS SHOW SO HARD.

I ALSO LOVE THIS SHOW. I agree with everything you've said, and would also like to add that I am SO excited to see Romany Malco join the cast, hopefully long term. He is awesome and I've really missed seeing him on my TV screen.

If I had one gripe it's that I wish the show would use Carey as more than just an antagonist.

I wish that about Carey too. I just love his adorable little face and his desperate need to be the best. I wish he understood that the motive behind keeping Alicia wasn't her and Will, but Eli bringing his business to the firm.

Eeeee, I love reading your spoilers! They remind me that some day I need to sit down with my computer and watch more of this season <3. And, yeah, in a lot of ways I Like that Will's been pretty dang imperfect, too, so he's Not just the woobie nice guy compared to Peter's slimeball. I love that they make them driven and ambitious and ruthless... but also human. <3 <3 <3

I want to watch the Judge Diane show. She'd give Judge Judy a run for her money (this in addition to wanting to watch the Eli show, and the Kalinda show... :D).

You do, you really really do. It's so good. The characters all have depth instead of being flat and one dimension. That's rare on a show with an ensemble of this size, normally at least a couple characters inevitably become caricatures.
