I don't know if it is the writing or if Paul Wesley made some changes but Stefan is fucking *awesome* so far this season.

Poor Damon. I really want you to get your gleeful mayhem back and for people to quit wailing on you.

Caroline Forbes is the best brand new vampire I have ever seen, hands down. But how did she get in her house?

I'm so glad Elena stopped Bonnie [of course I am] but I think by saying 'this is not us' she may have made Bonnie understand how nuts she was in that instance. Also, Damon, Bonnie, and Katherine are all equally responsible for Caroline's turning. If everyone would have listened when Damon said emphatically, no, this is a bad idea Caroline wouldn't be a vampire [although fucking awesome] vampire right now.

Mason Lockwood is HOT. Tyler Lockwood is HOT. Can I please can have uncle/nephew slash please?

Jeremy deciding to be his own man and form his own opinions was AWESOME unlike his whittling.

I have one minor quibble with the season so far: WHERE THE HELL IS ALARIC? and Jenna.



About Nikita: I saw the original French movie and loved it. I saw the movie with Bridget Fonda and loved it too. I did not watch the first tv show. I love this Nikita. LOVELOVELOVE.

I absolutely love Caroline as a vampire. She is so awesome. (And a billion times better than book-Caroline who sucks.)

I'm still undecided on Nikita.

She's so perky! And completely horrified at being a monster and at the same time GOOD at it. I really hope she doesn't get killed off.

Is the new Nikita a different take? Didn't the first one have her working within the agency?

Yeah, originally she was working in the agency. She always wanted out, and she always hated what she was doing, but she worked from within. Some of my issues with the new show is that I hate the set design (compared to the original), I hate that they kept the name Birkhoff for the computer guy but the character is so totally different, same for Michael (Shane West is NOT Michael), and other little things. I think they should have either really taken a new direction or else kept the same basic characters. But they did a weird mishmash and it's just not sitting right with me. I'm going to give it a bit more before I give up though, because it's got potential for sure.

I'm sure it's frustrating -- it makes me glad I didn't see the original because I don't have anything to hold it against.
