I haaaaaaaaate hormones - bc pills. I finally got an IUD last spring, and man, was that the best thing ever. And I got the old school copper one, because that will be with me until menopause, unlike the hormone releasing one you have to swap out every 2 years. Plus, hormones.
You know, I know a lot of women with no kids who haven't had issues with their IUD, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Use condoms/whatever for the first month or two, and when you get a check up, they'll know if it's "taken." Just my two cents on it. Also: it's the CHEAPEST and most reliable form of birth control there is.
