I'm glad you have a good relationship with your parents now, I honestly don't know if I'd ever be able to forgive mine for treating me the way your parents did you. I've never told anyone I'm relate to about what happened to me -- I've never had therapy. It took me *years* to understand my own behavior after what I went through. My long stint of abstinence had as much to do with being a rape survivor than it did anything else.
