two vastly different shows --

Teen Wolf and The Good Wife both made a move for the same reason.

They fridged characters. Both characters were killed because the actors wanted to do something different. On TW there was only one episode left so you don't really know how it's going to be handled. TGW has several episodes left of this season so we will see some of the fall out there.

What I've already noticed: Other than Scott crying [me crying], Chris Argent [dear god I do believe he's truly my favorite] compartmentalizing and Isaac saying he can't compartmentalize I don't think we're going to get anything out of Allison's death other than another dead female character. Possibly some snark out of the resurrected Kate [WHY??? I ... really can't stand TW and yet I watch it]

On TGW -- killing Will [a character I never had feelings about one way or the other so no tears out of me] is going to have repercussions. Media has fridged a man and in the fall out we're going to see how his death affects the WOMEN left behind. I'm very eager to see this. Especially Diane's arc the sneak preview of the rest of the season shows dramatic changes ahead for all of our women + Cary. , Alicia's journey has been amazing to follow, I've been with her every step of the way. I am very eager to see the other women take a different step on their path.

In short, Chris Argent is my favorite. I kind of hope he adopts Isaac. Dear tv, give Derek a break and could Stiles please quit channeling Christian Slater circa Heathers? That'd be great, thanks.

I clicked through elsewhere on the spoilers for TGW, and even though I haven't watched in more than a season I thought it was interesting - and it made me want to watch again. The thing I read talked about how rare it is for the actor and the network to be quiet enough about these things so that the death comes as just as much of a surprise as sudden deaths are in real life. It really does seem like it'll be pretty fascinating.

AFAIK it was a secret about the death on TW too -- but then again I don't seek out spoilers so I could be wrong there.

I saw headlines yesterday about the shocking plot twist but I NEVER expected it to be what it was. Normally, when a character on a show I love dies, I cry. Even if I don't like the character the reaction of the other characters will make me cry. I didn't experience any of that during the episode. *However* in the sneak preview for the rest of the season it showed Alicia walking into Lockhart Gardner and seeing Diane and then the two of them rush to one another, hug, and cry. THEN I got a little emotional.

I'm looking forward to what happens here because it's the reverse fridge. What will the three ladies do without him there? How will they change? It looks like they're all going to move in very unexpected directions and that excites me mightily.

I haven't seen 3b yet (I decided to wait for the DVD in the summer instead of watching online), but I play very fast and loose with spoilers. I thought it was sad that Allison died, but I was mainly worried that it meant that Chris would be leaving. I can't stand Kate, but I'm hoping she's reason enough for him to stay on the show. I'm not sure if I'll keep watching if he goes (though the Sheriff is hot too).

It looks like Chris is there to stay. Or at least I really hope so, if he's not I may stay with the show. The finale was IMO a piece of crap. It may have even been worse than the 2 finale and that was a shit show. I have thoughts and ideas about how it could be fixed/made better/something in fic but I don't care enough to actually get the thoughts out.

I just read confirmation that he's definitely on the show next season. Whew!

Whew is right! I wish they would adding cast people and concentrate on the half-told stories/characters they already have
