Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato

Once again Victoria's secret has discontinued the only fucking bra in the world that fits me. Bio-fit bras now have a specially textured inner cup to make the bra stay in place. It feels disgusting against my skin.

Fie upon thee

ETAIf you have bra suggestions, here are my requirements. There are other far more well-endowed ladies in the comments who will take recommendations as well. Victoria's Secret has not just discontinued my preferred Bio-Fit but also the Incredible Line The problem with my size [36B] is manufacturer's assume I want enough padding to look a cup bigger AND that I want it pushed up to my nose. I don't want either of these things actually. I want a bra where: * the cup fits -- sounds simple but it's a problem for me, A's are all too small. A lot B's are too big, I nearly always have to buy a demi-cup to get the right fit for my breasts * the cup is *lined* so my nipples don't poke out * The straps are about 1/4 inch wide, any narrower and they cut into my skin, any wider and it's over-kill and shows under my v-neck t-shirts * under-wire * the elastic in the straps and band don't wear in 3 months. Maybe I need to write a letter to all bra makers every where.

Too bad you're not a 36C. I still have those two biofit bras just sitting on top of my dresser. *sigh*

Why would they put texture inside the cup? Does the cup not stay in place for people? I have problems with bands and straps slipping -- put some grippy stuff there. But in the cup? Weird.

Last time I bought bras I made a comment to the salesgirl about loving the Incredible for the elastic straps and that they'd probably discontinue it because I like it so much. She said when they discontinue that bra she'll quit.

Wow, that bra interior sounds slimy and awful. D:

People should stop oiling up their breasts before they put their bras on, I'm just saying.

Haha, ILU, Jess.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd best get your ass online and start shopping the Incredible Bra, it's on clearance now too.

My size in Biofit is sold out in every single god damn style and color.

If I ever become a good enough fitness instructor to get my boobs done, I'll take those off your hands *g*

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It feels suede-ish. All I could think when I touched it was WOW this is gonna make my boobs sweat 24/7. It was disgusting.

[identity profile] crazydiamondsue.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
WHY does that happen??? I will buy a VS bra and it will fit like heaven, I go back to get another and it's been discontinued. Buy what is suggested as its replacement and it's not the same thing at all. I've also found it impossible to find a t-shirt bra (lightly padded) in a DD that my boobs don't go climbing out of. WHY.

I'm wishing you happier over-the-shoulder-boulder shopping!

Ha! That must be the problem!

ILU, Sue! :*

Or if they're going to, they should let us watch. D:

Inside of cup is textured similar to suede. It make my nipples sweat just touching it.

Now, straps and bands, they could use some texture like you said.

Suede-ish! So weird. I was thinking it would feel like that sticky-tacky bra-trap stuff you sometimes find. Either way, though, you're right -- gross!

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Who's boobs move around *in* the cup? Unless you're wearing one two sizes too big or something.

[identity profile] moosesal.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that what I'm doing wrong? I need some body oil!

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Larger boobs have their own problems. I'm sorry for that for you and Sal. And all the other well-endowed ladies.

Yeah, what they suggested for a replacement wasn't at all the same. One was so padded I would have looked like a "C" cup, which means none of my clothes would fit and if anyone ever grabbed the real thing they'd be seriously disappointed, and the other one had fabric that I didn't like the feel of either.

I think I hurt the sale's girls feelings. Then again there have probably been people more pissed off than me. I gave the girl the coupon I brought in with me and said, "guess I'll try back in a year or two."

::sighs::

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Motherfu....

I guess I'll be checking online. Good grief. Why is it that they keep all that crappy PINK shit (that does NOT come in my size), but they get rid of or change the bras that are amazing? *weeps*

I can't stand that pink shit and it does come in my size. I guess its back to Target for me and the Gilligan O'Malley bra, except they changed it too and it no longer fits. Maybe they'll change it back.

Why do companies hate us?

I've also found it impossible to find a t-shirt bra (lightly padded) in a DD that my boobs don't go climbing out of. WHY.

Yep. I hear you on that. 34DD here and last year all I wanted was a simple cotton bra for days off and such, when I just want support cleaning the house and all, but don't want to sweat in my nice bras. Nothing. And the "new" (then) T-shirt bra (as well as other styles) are not made in my size at all (not even online for some). So annoying since I don't even think of my size as a specialty size. It's not like I'm a 32G -- that's a specialty bra. 34DD should not be a specialty bra. And I want more colors than white and black, please. /rant

Before I hit the DD cup, I used to LOVE Calvin Klein bras and I could regularly get them on sale at department stores. You might check on them. Regular price was comparable to VS, but on sale I usually paid around $25 for very nice bras. The first time I tried one was at suggestion of a sales lady at Nordstrom (though they're also at less expensive dept stores), which has good bra-fitting service. I had shied away because I'd figured they weren't "real" bras with the designer name and all. But they were great.

I can't wear the Target bras either, though I keep trying every year or so just in case.

I'm a 36DD and dear Lord do I hear you on the more variety than black and white! I've actually had good luck with eBay recently -- I bought a purple lace VS bra that fits great, but it's a pretty bra. Lilyette is another brand that works for me, they have the one t-shirt bra (and it's purple!) that I don't climb out of until the end of the day. The straps are also padded and super comfortable. I've never had luck finding a sports bra that actually supports me without bounce while I work out, how 'bout you?

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be down at the beach in a couple of weeks, I'll be sure to go by Calvin Klein and try on their bra.

The problem with my size is manufacturer's assume I want enough padding to look a cup bigger AND that I want it pushed up to my nose.

I don't want either of these things actually.

I want a bra where:
* the cup fits -- sounds simple but it's a problem for me, A's are all too small. Most B's are too big

* the cup is *lined* so my nipples don't poke out

* The straps are about 1/4 inch wide, any narrower and they cut into my skin, any wider and it's over-kill and shows under my v-neck t-shirts

* under-wire

* the elastic in the straps and band don't wear in 3 months.

Maybe I need to write a letter to all bra makers every where.

Haha, agreed! I've just realized that the Nivea firming lotion I believe in, oh, so optimistically may be counter productive to keeping me in place in my padded bras...

[identity profile] crazydiamondsue.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It is super frustrating. I just want something that has support, style, color, sexiness and comfort. I think VS wants everyone to be a C cup and they really don't understand or care for people who are more petite or more endowed. Meh.

[identity profile] moosesal.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
For sports bras, I highly recommend going to www.titlenine.com. You can shop by cup size and support level. And they use real women to test the bras every year. I like Moving Comfort bras and have picked up a couple that hold me down. And the nice thing at T9 is they've got more than just the pull over styles. It might be easy to pull a bra down over As or Bs, but with DDs I find them really hard to get out of. So I like bras that have a clasp in the back.

Check out this one: http://www.titlenine.com/product/sports-bras-at-title-nine/shop-sports-bras-by-cup-size/dd-cup-bras/310125.do?sortby=ourPicks&page=2

And T9 is really easy with returns too.

[identity profile] moosesal.livejournal.com 2012-02-17 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I do not understand why it's so hard to just get a lightly lined bra in ANY size. Just enough for a smooth fit with no nips. Having padded bras available as an option is great, but it shouldn't be the default.

I love how many comments this post has.
