[Poll #1788362]

Neti potting gets easier every time. Yay. I have a lovely bottle full of amoxicillin and I am already vastly improved from yesterday. Yay.

Vampire Diaries continues to be awesome.

Meanwhile, boss told me to stay home after my Doctor appointment and to take today off. So I have. Since then I have mainlined all of Strike Back and WOW I love the flow between the episodes when you watch them all together. The progression of Scott and Stonebridge's partnership is truly a beautiful thing to behold. And where did they find all those lovely breasted women? Seriously, the boobs on this show are completely amazing. There is so much swirling in my mind about the show and I want to get it down on paper but I'm holding off until the season is over. There's only one more episode left. I'm hoping they don't kill off everyone and start all over again because these characters are amazing together.

I really want to fuck Colonel Grant.

And Damien Scott.

Preferably at the same time.

::cough::

There is not a Strike Back com on LJ. There is not one single Strike Back fiction on AO3. There are 2 on fanfic.net one from season 1 and one from season 2.

Fangirls. This is criminal. HOW can you not be writing about this show? JFC. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??? There aren't any icons. I can't do graphics!

Help me Yuletide, you are my only hope.

I'm about to pop in SoA season 3 and re-watch it. Except I want to start from the very beginning. BUT! I only have so much time and if I'm going to write Jax/Trinity I need to immerse myself in season 3. BUT! I also need to get all the early Juice and Tig and Chibbs bits so I can work on that too. There's only so many hours in a day and 13 episodes per season. I've watched season 1 at least 3 times and none of the others more than once. What do, what to do??

If you hear of a random killing spree in rural North Carolina, I've cracked from watching too much ultra-violent television.

Oh, I hadn't seen that you'd already watched S1 several times... maybe that'd change my vote to season 2. And Yay for the neti potting, and Yay for the amoxycillin. Don't forget your probiotics, too!

Fangirls frequently surprise me. A bunch of the local ones have gotten into TGW lately, which is awesome? But not fannish, really. You'd think they'd be all over the violence and boobs of Strike Back :D.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
The Good Wife is awesome and deserves all the fans in the world. However, so does Strike Back! As horny as fangirls generally are you'd think they'd watch SB because of ALL THE SEX.

I'll start probiotics tomorrow

I have to put "no" for Strike Back, but I'm totally planning to watch it. I have some of it downloaded. I'm sorry that everyone hasn't caught on to it yet. :)

I'm glad you're feeling better and that you are home resting today. I am at work all by myself. I've got my laptop set up playing some TV stuff that I can half pay attention to while I deal with a nightmare client.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as sorry as I am. It's AMAZING and I only know two other people who watch it: azewewish and kadymae.

Other than nightmare client it sounds like an awesome day at work

[identity profile] moosesal.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It's pretty sweet to sit here working on stuff while I've got the "TV" going at the side. Now if I can just take care of the client problem (or problem client, depending on the moment).

STRIKE BACK!!!! I'm sort of afraid that everyone's going to die in tonight's episode, too, which will be criminal. Because I really want Damien & Eleanor to have hot angry sex. While Michael watches. Then joins in. What, it could happen. *g*

And [livejournal.com profile] idiosyncratic made me a few Strike Back icons!!! Although I haven't uploaded them yet. :)

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
If everyone dies tonight it may break me a little. I'm sick and fragile ;-)

Damien/Eleanor COULD TOTALLY HAPPEN. I'm not sure Michael would join in though, he seems to prefer blondes

I'd love to see those icons. And snag a few for myself if you didn't mind

[identity profile] azewewish.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
http://faded-icons.livejournal.com/63331.html - Icons are there.

And come on, even if you did prefer blondes, could you resist the combined hotness of Damien & Eleanor? ;)

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-21 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I couldn't, but Michael is made of much sterner stuff

*g*

thanks for the link

I am working on a story, my hand to god.

And I think that a lot of fangirls aren't watching for the same reason they didn't watch Gen Kill. They're thinking it's just going to be rah-rah-war-on-terror Republiklan bullshit.

There I people I know would love this show to pieces because they love thrillers and conspiracies and they will not watch it because of that.

\o/\o/\o/

best news I've heard all day.

And that makes a ton of sense. I haven't actually watched all of Generation Kill myself. I got three episodes in and then was distracted by something else new and shiny. Maybe I should turn off SoA and put in GK. It could help alleviate my needs for Strike Back fannishness

[identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
GK is everything AMAZING. Plus, mountains of fic. (Though I really wish that Brad/Ray was the fandom OTP. They get some fic and one great AU epic but it's more rare. /entitled whinging)

I have heard nothing of this Strike Back you speak of. I initially read it as Strikeforce and then went with that to assuming it was an MMA themed show. but apparently... not?

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
here is a pimp post written after the very first episode. The show has gotten *way* better since then. Season one was broadcast on Sky, and the current season which ended tonight is being broadcast on Cinemax. You absolutely do not need to see season one to jump into the show. It has its issues but the issues improve somewhat as the story progresses.

It's highly entertaining on a multitude of levels, the least of which is the eye candy. Both male and female. The biggest of which is the development of the relationship between Scott and Stonebridge, followed by Scott and the Colonel.

[identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks for the info. hmmm... It sounds interesting, mostly because I'm a hardcore Generation Kill fan. The fact that there's no fic is such a bummer. (Yes, this is a major factor in my tv and movie watching, will it have a significant fanfiction base?)

[identity profile] kadymae.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Just so you know, there are some AWESOME things too.

I seriously seriously am *still* all a-squee that we got such a graphic scene of a man going down on a woman, liking it, making sure she came, and only then thinking of his orgasm.

[identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe Misfits and Strike Back should have a duel. Somewhere, somewhen in fictional space Simon is shouting, "hey! that's my signature act!" lol.

hmmm, the sad thing is that if this were HBO then there would be lesbians. Hot solider ladies in forbidden love.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!!! I can see Simon meeting Scott, he wouldn't last very long before he was punched in the face. Repeatedly.

No lesbians so far, but there is always hope.

[identity profile] kadymae.livejournal.com 2011-10-23 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)

Forbidden only if it's fraternization.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been seeing mutterings in small fandom communities about it. If everyone/most live through last night's episode I can see it really growing.

::crossing my fingers::

[identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
Strangely enough (LOL), my option wasn't under I watch Sons of Anarchy... I stopped regularly watching it after last season because it ended pretty decent for me, with basically everyone I cared about getting along, and DNW more club infighting and Clay, Gemma, Jax at each other's throats. I AM TOTS ON BOARD WITH MASS MURDER AND AMORALITY AS LONG AS THE CHARACTERS I LOVE ARE STILL HUGGING EACH OTHER. (Note: this explains my penchant for TVD) (and Deadwood) (mmmmm, Deadwood)

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
LOL I know what you mean! SoA has gone back to a Clay vs. Jax thing but they're playing it differently this time

[identity profile] silviakundera.livejournal.com 2011-10-22 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'm basically plugging my eyes & ears going la la la la la if I'm not watching it then IT ISN'T HAPPENING. *g*
