Get a beta! No really, get a beta. Or at least use the spell check function on your computer, I know you have one all computers come with them. USE IT.

If you say in your summery [see what I did there?] that you don't even know what your fic is about or that it's about ALL THE FEELS or you'll only write more if you get comments you're turning off an entire audience of ancient fandom hags like myself [and really my decade plus doesn't mark me as ancient there are people who have been doing this for 35 years +]

Please for the love of Thor, Odin, Loki, and Frigga have a fucking feeling instead of a feel. Or at least quit tagging about your feels. Your tags that you think are clever? Are actually annoying as shit. Having more than 10 tags on a story just so you'll have the most tags? Not the way to get readers.

There are some really disturbing fics coming out where Pepper is some sort of nagging crying bitch who is only out to ruin Tony Stark's feels about Bruce/Tony/Clint/insert Avenger here.

You may have the occasional feel but I'm seeing that word popping up in fucking searchable tags at AO3. Yes, I think it's awesome you can create your own tag and all that, but JFC, some of that needs to be stopped.

Science bro feels? Needs to die from palladium poisoning.

See, that makes no sense at all to me. Darcy using the term feels? Yes. She is the tumblr generation and therefore would have all their lingo. Hell, it doesn't even bother me when she thinks 'totes'.

Well. Most of the time it doesn't anyway.

Still. Darcy is a logical person to have feels. Tony? Not so much. The tagging thing bothers me less because that's internal nomenclature, but dear freaking god, people, most of us are not 13 years old.

Pepper as nagging bitch makes me saaaaaaaaad. I mean, she can probably nag? But that is a *tool*. Not a state of being.

Oh, dude, Darcy is allowed. Granted most of what I read in her characterization is completely and totally fanon, it works with her.

The rest of them? Huh-uh. Well, Tony if he's trying to be an ass to Steve.

Tony is a man who has to be reminded to eat, sleep, and what his partner's allergies are. He expects Pepper to make him a functional human being.

I could see Tony and possibly even Clint using it to be an ass. Because they are good at being asses, and while I'm not sure where Clint would've heard it, his saying it wouldn't be shocking in the right (read: dickish) circumstances.

Who doesn't think Pepper is the most awesome thing to ever awesome? This makes me really sad. One of the things I've really liked with Avengers is how the 'canon' relationships are just sort of ignored or gracefully worked around (ie, pepper and tony had to stop dating and instead are back to best friends), rather than bashing.

ITA with the dickish circumstances. But I don't know Clint outside the movie and I didn't really see any dickishness there. I'm hoping that's comics canon and not the entire fandom hive minding.

I don't know too much about comic!Clint, but from the synopses I've been reading, he isn't so much a dick as a wiseass. The one who cracks comments and messes people- mostly when appropriate, of course- for fun, etc. So I don't think that's hive mind.

I saw your comments about "because... science!" I kind of like that when Tony is gushing happily about Bruce and is lacking words and just goes "but, but SCIENCE". That's adorable and yes, sort of chibi like, but still on the more endearing side, I think.

Pepper is the badass behind Tony, without her he wouldn't be capable of functioning outside his workshop. Sad, but true.

Also, we get it, Thor is a god, STOP BANGING ME OVER THE FUCKING HEAD WITH THIS FACT. Just call him Thor. It's not that freaking difficult.

Also, Clint has a name, please stop calling him "the archer", especially during sex scenes. (See also: "captain" for Steve, "scientist" for Bruce, "spy" for Natasha, "billionaire" for Tony.)

As far as I can ascertain, yes, all the feels came from Tumblr. Which I don't get, either. It's a whole bunch of people reblogging the same damn gifs over & over, as far as I can tell.

I edited that post I think about 6 times to get rid of all the mistakes and I read fluent as fluid *every single time* which is a perfect example of why people should have betas! I proved my own case.

I will confess that I kind of love "have a sad", too, mostly in the snarky way Dan Savage used it today, where he told the girl that if her boyfriend "has a sad" when he finds out she went against his wishes and got a vibrator and finally had her first orgasm, she should dump him, pronto *g*. Sort of like "butthurt", but without the anal.

Butthurt is another favorite of mine. But these phrases can be useful in RL butthurt especially help people avoid profanity.

Another aggravation is that I'm having car trouble, really weird car trouble. I finally got it to the local mechanic today I'm hoping he can fix it so I don't have to spend a day at the dealership.

Car trouble is never good. Hope that turns out to be an easy fix today.

Just because it was funny/clever once, doesn't mean it's automatically funny/clever every single time.
