So where now is the conversation with a non-asshole-ripper!Stefan and Damon having the no, really Elena loves *you*

which will then segue perfectly into WE ALL LOVE EACH OTHER LET'S BE POLY-INCESTUOUS-INTER-SPECIES-LOVERS-FOR-ETERNITY????

Wouldn't it? One of my favorite things about the show is all the lovely triangles. The connections between the characters that bind them together are such fun. You can make a triangle out of virtually any 3 characters and it would *work*

I like skirting the edge, your problem is you can't help falling off.

That's what Damon has been saying to Stefan since 1.01!!! It's why he and Lexi fundamentally disagreed so hard. Lexi believed the only way Stefan could be good was to eat an animal only diet. Damon thinks he just needs to learn-self control. It makes me wonder how spoiled and tantrumy Stefan may have been as a boy.

I'm sure Elena feels safest with Damon and/or Ric right now. You know that girl is on edge. I *especially* loved the training montage/Ric researching segment. It was hilarious!

I loved the training sequence! She keeps going and going and Damon is thoroughly amused and totally coping a feel each time. It's something tVD does that Buffy did that I really miss. The ability to move the plot along while still conveying nice little continuity features -- particularly amusing ones.
