That's the one. It's so damn good. It sort of defies everything typical of kidfic even when it gives typical kidfic. It's funny and sweet and snarky and Kirk/Spock raising a bitchy kid. What more could you want?

There is a follow-up. But it's set way in the future when Kirk's on his deathbed (that's not really a spoiler, you know that at the very start).

I'd like MORE fic that is just as good. Too much of the suck lately.

I've seen a couple people ask for these recs and NO ONE has ever responded. I can't believe there's NO post-DH trio fics. But I do believe it all sucks.
