I saw the trailer for Thor over the weekend. It looked wonderful! I have never read any of the comics and was wondering if someone could recommend a few trades to read between now and then.

Thor's not my guy, but this is supposed to be one of the best recent Thor tales: Thor, Vol. 1

If you want classic Thor, you'll want this: Thor Visionaries - Walter Simonson, Vol. 1. Simonson's run defined Thor.
