Happy birthday
sassangel xoxo
After making me buy a dress that coordinated with his outfit to pose as arm candy for his high school reunion, we got there, it was rainy and nasty and even though we were to be in a box for the ballgame Spencer didn't want to deal with the parking and rain and all that, so instead he took me out for a 5-star meal \o/ it was *awesome*. Definitely one of the three best meals of my life. And y'all know I love to eat. I was going to post pictures of the dress and view from the table, but both Scrapbook and Flickr aren't loading right now. Alas.
I do not have to teach AT ALL This week. It's like a freaking vacation!!!!!
Friday morning I'm driving up to see
essene and
dancetomato for the Memorial Day weekend. I'm super excited.
We've had insane amounts of rain this spring everything is green and lush and vivid and beautiful. Which is awesome. On the downside, I had some issues with flooding and that I wasn't aware of. /o\ Hello mold on wall and carpet. Any suggestions for getting rid of it? I sprayed it down with Lysol and turned the fan on it this morning before I left the house. I realize I will need to do much more to kill the mold and save my life but am unsure what to do to the carpet.
I was pondering doing the any fandom Vampire big bang. Now there's an official Vampire Diary big bang and I want to do it even MORE. But!
I've got no plot! How can you write a big bang when you have no plot?
/Next Brick in the Wall Part II
So if anyone wants to throw some prompts at me in the hope that it will spring into a full-fledged 20k word fic? GO FOR IT.

Oooh, what was your favorite part of the dinner? And I want to see pictures of your dress! :D
Umm... plot does make 20k go by faster. But the only vampire plots I know are of the "we can't be together for Lo I am Dangerous" ala Twilight, and I don't recommend those. OTOH, fighting another vampire faction is always cool :D.

\o/
I just emailed you pictures because I can't get anything to upload.
Before dinner drinks Me: G&T
Before dinner drinks Spencer: 2 martinis [guess who drove?]
We exchanged plenty of forkfulls back and forth on all courses except dessert
Appetizer Me: mussels
Appetizer Spencer: crab cake, salad
Main Me: Flounder stuffed with crab with tomato pesto, mashed potatoes, asparagus
Main Spencer: Prime rib, potato of some sort, I got no idea what else
Wine: Bottle of Petite Syrah and jeebus was it amazing
Dessert me: triple chocolate cake, coffee
Dessert Spencer: creme brule, coffee
It was a fuckton of money and absolutely worth every penny.
stupid plot bunnies! when I want them they won't come around. when I don't they are prolific.

:-)
Dinner was WAY more fun than a baseball game. I love seafood but other than the occasional shrimp or frozen salmon fillets I NEVER cook it at home because there's just not anywhere local that you can buy high quality fish from. So, when I dine out I nearly always get seafood.

And, yeah - there were 12 of us fangirls on Saturday night that all dressed up, and a couple of them wore cute boots with their summery dresses (for values of cute that ran from docs to heels) and they looked great. So I'm sure it worked :D.
