Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] sassangel xoxo

After making me buy a dress that coordinated with his outfit to pose as arm candy for his high school reunion, we got there, it was rainy and nasty and even though we were to be in a box for the ballgame Spencer didn't want to deal with the parking and rain and all that, so instead he took me out for a 5-star meal \o/ it was *awesome*. Definitely one of the three best meals of my life. And y'all know I love to eat. I was going to post pictures of the dress and view from the table, but both Scrapbook and Flickr aren't loading right now. Alas.

I do not have to teach AT ALL This week. It's like a freaking vacation!!!!!

Friday morning I'm driving up to see [livejournal.com profile] essene and [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato for the Memorial Day weekend. I'm super excited.

We've had insane amounts of rain this spring everything is green and lush and vivid and beautiful. Which is awesome. On the downside, I had some issues with flooding and that I wasn't aware of. /o\ Hello mold on wall and carpet. Any suggestions for getting rid of it? I sprayed it down with Lysol and turned the fan on it this morning before I left the house. I realize I will need to do much more to kill the mold and save my life but am unsure what to do to the carpet.

I was pondering doing the any fandom Vampire big bang. Now there's an official Vampire Diary big bang and I want to do it even MORE. But!

I've got no plot! How can you write a big bang when you have no plot?

/Next Brick in the Wall Part II

So if anyone wants to throw some prompts at me in the hope that it will spring into a full-fledged 20k word fic? GO FOR IT.

Wow, no classes? That IS a vacation; you usually teach a lot!

Oooh, what was your favorite part of the dinner? And I want to see pictures of your dress! :D

Umm... plot does make 20k go by faster. But the only vampire plots I know are of the "we can't be together for Lo I am Dangerous" ala Twilight, and I don't recommend those. OTOH, fighting another vampire faction is always cool :D.

Usually at *least* 2. So yeah, it's my last week of exercise restrictions and I don't have to teach so I'm not doing jack shit other than my dance classes this week

\o/

I just emailed you pictures because I can't get anything to upload.

Before dinner drinks Me: G&T
Before dinner drinks Spencer: 2 martinis [guess who drove?]

We exchanged plenty of forkfulls back and forth on all courses except dessert

Appetizer Me: mussels
Appetizer Spencer: crab cake, salad

Main Me: Flounder stuffed with crab with tomato pesto, mashed potatoes, asparagus
Main Spencer: Prime rib, potato of some sort, I got no idea what else

Wine: Bottle of Petite Syrah and jeebus was it amazing

Dessert me: triple chocolate cake, coffee
Dessert Spencer: creme brule, coffee

It was a fuckton of money and absolutely worth every penny.

stupid plot bunnies! when I want them they won't come around. when I don't they are prolific.

Aw, the dress is pretty and summery and cute, and the view! It's like you had dinner in a fancy tree fort or something! Dinner sounds Amazing, and like more fun that a ball game *g*. Man, I love me some seafood :D. I had clams last night at dinner that were good, but the Broth totally made the dish - great use of wine. You're like my brother, and to some extent me - eating out someplace where they'll combine ingredients and flavors so that it's Even Better than something you'd usually make at home? Completely worthwhile!

The weather was really cool so I paired that dress with my knee high black leather boots. I stopped by my friend Heather's house for a fashion check because I wasn't sure spring dress + winter boot worked but she gave me a double thumbs up GOD DAMN so I think it worked

:-)

Dinner was WAY more fun than a baseball game. I love seafood but other than the occasional shrimp or frozen salmon fillets I NEVER cook it at home because there's just not anywhere local that you can buy high quality fish from. So, when I dine out I nearly always get seafood.

[identity profile] ldthomps.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah - I almost never cook seafood either, which makes it such a nice treat at really good restaurants that will get the good stuff and do it to perfection. NOM.

And, yeah - there were 12 of us fangirls on Saturday night that all dressed up, and a couple of them wore cute boots with their summery dresses (for values of cute that ran from docs to heels) and they looked great. So I'm sure it worked :D.

You're close enough to an actual ocean that you probably have AMAZING seafood all over the place.

That sounds awesome!

SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!! I cannot wait to see you!!!!!!!! /abuse of exclamation points

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
ME TOO!!!! I want to fangirl and relax and have FUN!

I expect you still have a rather large bottle of gin somewhere, yes?

[identity profile] dancetomato.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I just looked and there is less than an inch left in that bottle. So there will be the purchasing of more gin and lots of diet tonic for our girl. I myself will be drinking the blueberry vodka left from Aimeelicious' visit. And the last bottle of champagne. Yis.

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Who drank all the gin? I know it wasn't the two of you.

EEEEE very excited ::bounce::

[identity profile] turnonmyheels.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
it wouldn't suprise me if *we* drank all the gin.

[identity profile] dancetomato.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't surprise me either.
