Iron Man. AWESOME. Laugh out loud funny in places, flawless casting, seamless special effects, nifty scene at the end - go to the bathroom during the credits but come back when you're finished. RDJ looked amazing. It's really surprising considering everything he's done to himself, but there you have it.

Not only did he look amazing, I truly believe he's the only actor in Hollywood that could have elevated that movie from your average comic book adaptation to outright AWESOME.

Trailers: the Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, Narnia, Incredible Hulk - DUDE when they replace guy I don't like with Ed Norton who looks so hot I nearly wet myself? - Speed Racer, probably 1 more but I don't remember what it was.

PSA: TODAY IS FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! \o/\o/\o/

Your post was the first on my flist when I turned on my computer this morning and I said to T, "B says Iron Man was awesome. In all caps." And he says, "Excellent, she's got good taste." We didn't make it out last night but we sure a hell will today or tomorrow. It's good to have confirmation that things are good from reliable sources. :)

I was all annoyed at the Hulk yesterday 'cause there was this really annoying ad on imdb that took over the whole layout and I was all ready to decide I wasn't going to go see the movie just because the ad was so annoying until I realized Ed Norton was in it. My convictions: so easily swayed by hotness.

I went to see Iron Man on Saturday night. All by myself. It was awesome. And yay for the post-credit moment. I guess we're getting an Avengers movie at some point.

I bought some Iron Man trades during the sale Saturday. I *really* liked Tony Starke in the movie and wanted to discover comic him. I haven't read any of it yet ...

As I was watching I thought, "between this and the x-men I'm going to have to start reading Marvel". I can't even catch up on the DC stuff I've got.

I don't think I'll ever catch up on all the comics I have want. What I really, really, REALLY want is a month off where I can watch/read all the media I want to see. Of course I'd probably be sick of it in about two days and my head would explode from all the new characters and universes but I swear it's the only way to catch up.
