My own good fortune polled, three of my closest friends (that I KNOW of) were all raped as kids - one male, two female - and I know so many other people who have told me that they're survivors of sexual assault of some sort. It's so enraging and awful on so many fronts that I feel like people sharing their stories is one of the Best things people can do to bring the truth to asshats like that.
