If you can run 10, you could run a half today. Or, ok, you really need to rest today. But soon! :D
PS - my trainer had me use the treadmill to try to train my body to feel like a slightly faster pace was "the norm", and I feel like it's been working. So you might try running at your usual pace on the treadmill for 10 minutes, then upping it a little for 10, just to see if you can't convince your body to go faster. Not that it needs to, because that HR is good, and you're rocking this BIG TIME.
Also! I had no idea smoking was such a recent thing for you. Go YOU!
