"It's karma." There was a time not so long ago she would have muttered the words under her breath. And another so distant it seems like a dream when she would have stood in the middle of the room and screamed for them all to hear.

These days, when she speaks they listen. Even Giles. Who is now pulling off his glasses and wiping them with a handkerchief. "What do you mean Dawn?"

She feels her cheeks redden because she doesn't want to say it out loud. She smiles and softens her words a little to take the sting out. "She's died twice, was pulled out of heaven, saved the world a gazillion times, and lost a ton of people she cared about. It was time she got something back." She turns back to the window and watches Buffy and Spike sitting side by side, not touching or speaking on Giles' portico. Angel's hulking figure moves out of the shadows and they both slide over to give him room.

All of them growing up, and Buffy getting the two who understand her best. Even if it's because each of them understand only one part :)

I like to think of them like that, not necessarily together but together. All of them. Sunnydale survivor's reunion. Where *is* Oz. He needs to come round and play.
