2) There's something in the eyebrows on most of those guys that I find... off-putting!

I don't know enough about most of the rest of those points to have an opinion, but I suspect they're correct :). Although I loved Tom Baker Dr. Who, that was partially for the cheesy up-side-down-trash can daleks, etc., not quality. I haven't seen more recent Drs.
