Bestest birthday wishes to one of my favorite people [livejournal.com profile] dancetomato

I <3 you!

ETA Adrienne Palicki has been cast as Wonder Woman. Source

I think this is awesome news, I would have preferred Gina Torres, but I think Adrienne is an excellent choice.

TGW has really been bringing its A-game over the past I'd say 5 episodes. They've really blown all that's come before out of the water.

I'd never particularly noticed Adrienne having had a boob job. I'm still not sure she has [nor do I care] but the comments about her being slim hipped, with no curves, and horrible fake tits foolishly surprised me. I've always thought she had a great body.

That's exactly it. I don't think ANY of these fanboys ever watched a single episode of FNL. Adrianne has a fantastic body - she's got hips and curves and her tits are fine. She's just not Lynda Carter (or Lucy Lawless), ergo, the fanboys are gonna hate.

To be honest, I'm way more concerned about the leaked pilot script than I am about the casting. I love Wonder Woman so much & if David E. Kelly turns her into a superhero Ally McBeal, I will personally flay him alive.

I've been a bit worried about the Kelly aspect too, there are many other people in the business I'd rather see behind the pilot than him, but what can you do?

I'm just hoping it's not as bad as The Bionic Woman turned out to be. Or the Cape. Or hell, anything really on NBC that isn't Chuck.

There were parts of the Bionic Woman that I really, really liked. But it just wasn't a good fit for whatever NBC was trying to do with it.

Oh, I loved parts of it for sure -- but overall it didn't work very well at all. Which was sad because I WANTED to love it.

Same here. But mostly I think it's just that I loved the cast. I mean, Will Yun Lee, Katee Sackoff, Isiah Washington, Miguel Ferrer...they had a dream cast & a great idea, but parts of it were just so clunky.

They really did have a dream cast, Will Yun Lee particularly was stunning. And Katee is one of my favorite tv girlfriends.
