He closes the safety catch and glides his fingertips across her skin, brushes a kiss on her shoulder to hide his smile.
The desolate expression only makes her more beautiful. He sees the moment it transforms into vindictiveness - there she is - that's his Blair. The real Blair. The one no one but him sees.
You don't break this girl's heart and escape without annihilation.
Chuck knows this, has fanned the flames of her enmity since she donned her first hairband. And now she's his.
It won't last, it's not in his nature.
She can't accept it's in hers.
