Sometimes I like past tense too, like if it's a flashback.

Yes, it's nice when you get a break from tense and locked in POV when it works organically within the story.

I'm thinking about trying to write p.o.v. again, but then I would end up confusing myself.

I know what you mean. When I lock into a POV I'm there and then I can't ever seem to get out of it again

I try to read it without getting confused so I can keep it all in line. I guess we'll just have to see.
